A Brief Guide to the FDA, Where to Find the Info

Ok everyone, this is going to be a very brief post, a lot of people ask me I find my information about the FDA, so I am going to post a majority of my sources below.

Federal Register: I have always found this one of the more important sources of information. Simply click on the link that is title “Browse on today’s Table of Contents from today’s issue” and scroll down to the Food and Drug Administration portion of the issue. The Federal Register is usually able to get the announcement of committee meetings up before any of the other agencies.

FDA Advisory Committee Homepage:At this site you’ll have access to all of the upcoming advisory committee meetings dates and information.

Recently Updated Committee Materials:This is where the FDA will post the briefing documents, questions that they have, transcripts and all the very important information an investors needs to know prior to an Advisory Hearing. I highly suggest you check it daily if you are invested in a company that has an upcoming Advisory Committee Meeting, because the briefing documents and questions the FDA has can be significant market movers.

2010 Advisory Committee Tentative Meeting Schedule: The tentative schedule gives investors a future view into when the next possible advisory committee meeting could be set for their drug company. The tentative schedule shows the proposed meeting schedule a year in advance for when the various advisory committees will meet.
