Antigenics Inc. (AGEN):

This morning Antigenics announced positive results from their Phase I clinical trial in herpes patients. The company was testing their developmental vaccine AG-707 on 35 herepes positive patients. The company noted that the patients who received the vaccine showed a statistically significant CD4+ T Cell response and a majority also showed a CD8+T Cell response. CD4+ cells are also known as helper cells because assist other white blood cells in the immunologic processes, while CD8+ cells are known as Cytotoxic cells because they destroy virally infected cells and tumor cells. » Read more: Daily Pharma Watch

Cytori announced the long awaited results from their fat derived stem-cell clinical trial for no-option chronic heart disease patients. The company said that the cells showed that the procedure showed a statistically significant improvement in maximum oxygen consumption (MVo2) and patients’ aerobic capacity measured as metabolic equivalents, however the company noted that data from 2 patients in the 27 patient trial were missing in the MVo2 analysis. » Read more: Daily Pharma Watch
