Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (SNSS): Quick Update
July 23rd, 2010Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (SNSS):
So I have gotten a lot of questions in regards to Sunesis’ upcoming Phase III trial for their lead product Voreloxin and whether or not the company is going to be doing the trial under an SPA. For the record I would like to say that I am indifferent on whether or not a company developing a cancer drug chooses to do so under the SPA process. This is because cancer trials are so common that their endpoints are similar across all trials. Furthermore, an analysis I did of cancer drugs that went in front of an FDA advisory panel in 2009 that either had an SPA or did not have SPA seemed to show that simply having an SPA had no bearing on whether the drug got approved or not. » Read more: Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (SNSS): Quick Update

June 22nd, 2010Special Protocol Assessment: The REAL DEAL Analysis: ZIOPHARM Oncology (ZIOP), Keryx Pharmaceuticals (KERX), AEterna Zentaris (AEZS), Delcath Systems (DCTH), Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (SNSS)
This post will actually be useful for several cancer companies out there so I have also included their names in the header, sorry for the ridiculously long title.
Alright ZIOPHARM investors, I have been asked what drugs garnered approval without an SPA designation by some readers. Last year, I had put together a post about how the Oncology Advisory Committee had voted in 2009, so I decided to repost that list and then include whether or not the company had received an SPA for the trial. This list focuses on cancer drugs only, so it is directly relevant to ZIOPHARM and other oncology companies with drugs in Phase III trials. » Read more: Special Protocol Assessment: The REAL DEAL Analysis: ZIOPHARM Oncology (ZIOP), Keryx Pharmaceuticals (KERX), AEterna Zentaris (AEZS), Delcath Systems (DCTH), Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (SNSS)
Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (SNSS): Current Share Price and Reverse Stock Split Analysis
June 18th, 2010Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (SNSS) Shares Outstanding
So most long term Sunesis shareholders are aware that the company recently got the go ahead vote for permission to do a Reverse Stock split if needed. On June 8, 2010 the company noted in an Edgars filing (here) that they had received the shareholders go ahead to do reverse split “if” needed in a vote. The day this filing was announced the stock sunk some 15-20% on the news and has yet to recover, it also didn’t help that during the conference call the company didn’t sound as bullish on a partnership as it did in the past. » Read more: Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (SNSS): Current Share Price and Reverse Stock Split Analysis
